Tonight there is a a very special Ball being held called 'The Nikki Byrne Twighlight Ball' that Nicky and his lovely family have organized in honor of Nicky's father who sadly passed away this time last year (3rd of Nov 2009) . It is also to raise money for the Irish Heart Foundation, you can learn more about making a donation HERE . I hope the evening goes as planned for the Byrnes and Im sure Nikki Byrne Snr would be very proud!
Westlife tell David Heane they are thrilled to be heading out on tour to promote what they consider the best album of their career.
The album, which has been produced by Grammy-award-winning producer John Shanks, is a refreshing more up-to-date album. And the band told David that those expecting an album full of ballads will be getting something different: “We are not saying it is a whole new direction for us but it is definitely refreshing and more up-to-date. And the production is more mature pop music, which is where we think we should be at.”
The band said they are hoping the album will be a hit with the fans, a crowd of whom gathered outside Real Radio as the band were interviewed inside.
They told David: “It is pretty nice to travel around and have people... they are always there at every station. We have a massive fan base and they are so loyal. They have been for 12 years and that is the main reason we keep making albums because we have a lot of fans.”

Yesterday Westlife started filming their new music video for Safe, the video is being shot in London and they gave us some secrets from the shoot with Nicky Tweeting: "On set, scene Spent all morning running down corridors bursting thru doors up staircases !! Felt like brad pitt..Looked more like arm pit :)" and both Mark & Kian tweeting pictures...
Mark: I'm lying on my back in an overturned car with petrol and flames and smoke coming out of it,Kians about to save my life,perfect time 2 tweet.

Westlife have been at their Photoshoot today for their Brand New Album & Safe Artwork! Kevin McDaid (Marks Fiancee) is the Photographer and he has taken some amazing shots of the boys in the past so Im sure your looking forward to seeing them as much as I am. Nicky posted the picture above on his twitter this morning of him having his hair cut ready for the shoot!
