R.I.P Gerry Ryan..

Very sad news today that RTE's Gerry Ryan has passed away. My deepest sympathy to all his family & friends. The Westlife boys were particularly fond of Uncle Gerry and you can catch a memorable interview below...

2 Days to Go....

The boys have been busting their butts rehersing this week and it seems they are just as excited as we are! Mark logged on to twitter yesterday and wrote "So close to 1st show in Belfast, I can smell it. it smells like pyro dust & brand new clothes, and eh, 12,000 fans... yeah".

Westlife Day on 2FM!

Westlife fans around the world have responded en-masse to an exclusive Twitter announcement that top Irish boy-band Westlife are to take over RTÉ 2fm for the station’s first ever Westlife Day. 

Monday Bank Holiday May 3rd will see all four Westlife members take the DJ hot-seat in 2fm’s Dublin studios for three full and exclusive 2fm shows. Nicky and Shane will take the 9-12 slot, while Mark and Kian will take the 5-7 slot. Meanwhile the entire band will take over the 12 to 3 slot on the day.

Westlife’s Nicky Byrne made Irish web-history recently when his 2fm Celebrity Sunday slots trended at #3 worldwide on Twitter.

Westlife Tour Live on Sky Box Office!

  boyband Westlife will be appearing in concert live on Sky Box Office/HD on Friday 14th May. The concert will then be available on Sky Box Office/HD for seven days (from Saturday 15th until Friday 21st May).

And, in the build up to the concert, Sky1 will be showing an exclusive behind-the-scenes film of the band as they prepare for the gig, both backstage and in their home town.

Bandmember Kian Egan said: “We are delighted to be working with Sky Box Office to offer our fans the chance to tune in live to enjoy this exciting, one-off experience.

"Fans who may never have seen Westlife live in concert will be able to enjoy us perform and lots more besides, as Sky Box Office joins us before the show. Westlife live shows are always big, energetic and exciting and this is a chance to experience Westlife as you have never seen us before!”

The concert is available exclusively on Sky Box Office/HD, and costs £14.99. Viewers will be able to order the concert from Friday 7th May.

Today is Rocco & Jay Byrne's 3rd Birthday! It only seems like 2 minutes ago since hearing in the news that Georgina had gone into labour early and given birth to 2 little boys. I hope they have a great cake eating day and get spoilt rotten!

Nicky and the rest of his family visited Dublin Zoo yesterday to have an early celebration of Rocco & Jay's 3rd Birthday, which is tomorrow!

It's been a while but thats only because we have been busy putting the

WHERE WE ARE tour together!
We will be performing songs from our latest album plus all the greats too...
we have put modern twists of some of the older ones to shine them up and they are sounding splendid!
Its all coming together so get yourself down to the gig if youre not already going anyway!

It's gonna be a blast, look forward to seeing you there!

In other news, we were shocked to hear that the ACTUAL location for our 'What About Now' video is no longer there!

It was a massive glacier in Iceland and as a result of a recent volcanic eruption it has gone! Wow scary!

Westlife attended Shay Given's Fashion Kicks last night in Manchester! The boys have been in Manchester for a couple of days now and Nicky & Shane dropped into Key 103 to talk about tour rehearsals and who is the worst dancer! Check out the podcast HERE

I thought I start a blog ready for Westlife's 'Where We Are' Tour, which is kicking off in May!
